Water and Sewer Bills and Current Rates
The Village of Whitehouse sends monthly bills for water and sewer usage. Meters are read quarterly. If you do not wish to receive an estimated bill, please phone your actual reading to us or click here Water Meter Reading Form to e-mail us your reading. The bills are mailed on the first weekday of each month and are due on the 15th of the month at 5:00 pm (if the 15th falls on a weekend, the actual due date is printed on your bill). If for any reason you do not receive your monthly bill, please contact us at 419-877-5383 so that your payment is not late and subject to a 10% penalty.
NOTE: As of July 1, 2007, a $9.00 refuse fee will be collected on a monthly basis, the fee will be listed on the water bill as "R" for refuse.

Additional information:
1. A twenty dollar ($20.00) fee will be charged for water shut off due to non-payment of a bill.
2. An additional forty dollars ($40.00) will be charged if water has been shut off and payment is made after 4:00 p.m. to cover the cost of over-time pay to turn the water on after hours.
3. All rental properties require a guaranteed deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) before water can be turned on.
4. It is the customer's responsibility to protect the water meter from freezing. There is a thirty dollar ($30.00) charge to replace a frozen meter.
5. Bills are mailed monthly, however meters are read quarterly. If you do not wish to receive estimated bills between quarterly readings, please phone your actual reading to us or submit it on-line using this FORM between the 21st and 25th of each month.
6. A 10% penalty is charged on bills paid after the due date (usually at 5:00 pm on the 15th).
7. A five dollar ($5.00) collection fee will be added to all delinquent water and sewer accounts wherein no partial payment or payment arrangements have been made by the end of the month following the due date.
8. There are minimum monthly water and sewer charges on meters of $14.11 ($7.20 water and $6.91 sewer). If you have a separate meter for outside usage, the minimum monthly charge for the second meter is $7.20, even if no usage is reflected on the meter.
9. Those customers discharging into or having a sanitary sewer available, but do not have or use Village water, will be charged $18.06 per quarter.
10. Those customers who presently are not discharging into or do not have a sanitary sewer available, but the Village has detailed plans available for the construction of the sewer, will be charged $18.06 per quarter until the construction is completed.
