Office Assistants

The Village of Whitehouse employees 1 full-time and 2 part-time Office Assistants, who share the duties of answering phones, assisting visitors at Village Hall and the Fire Station, filing, typing, and other duties as assigned.  

Cindy Bergfeld, the part-time Police Office Assistant, has been employed by the Village since 1996.    Cindy and her husband, Dan, live in Waterville  Their two children both graduated from AWHS, Kelsey, who is attending The Ohio State University, and Cory, who attends Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI.  Cindy enjoys spending time with her family, walking, and attending Cory’s baseball games.

Rita Yunker, the part-time Fire Office Assistant, has been with the Village of Whitehouse since January 2005.  Rita received her BS in elementary education from Northern Illinois University and was a former teacher in North Carolina.  Her husband, Larry, co-owned Cyber Broadcasting, LLC, in Minooka, Illinois, where she was the Office Manager for seven years.  Rita volunteers at Whitehouse Elementary, where her two sons, Larry III and Victor, attend school.  She is also the secretary for cub scout Pack 97, is active with her Church and enjoys camping and traveling with her family.

Jill Gundy joined the Village team in April 2008 as the full-time Office Assistant.  Jill received her BA in Communications from the University of Toledo.  She and her husband, Simon, live in Swanton with their two children, Austin and Samantha.  When not working, Jill enjoys spending time at sporting events, boy scouts, gymnastics and swimming lessons with her children, reading and working in her flower beds.
